Sounds good. Where the fretboard attaches to the body, looks like a sliver was missing and there is a slight gap, can put my finger nail in. Does not effect sound, just not “ pretty”. Steve.

I’m a little in shock at this instrument. I bought it because I read that a few people found its unique design to be exceptionally comfortable. This is completely true. This is one of the loveliest ukuleles to hold.
However, what is shocking is the sustain and resonance of this instrument. I have ukuleles that cost many times more than this and it plays with the best of them.
There is something special about the way this instrument was designed that really works. I tried a few different string sets and settled on a low G set that is just great.
This is an unsung instrument that players need to try.

I like the sound and feel of all Mahogany instruments. The D'Addario Pro-Arte Carbon strings are a perfect match for this uke. The design is light and smooth all around leaving no hard edges. Playability of the strings is great and with a near 1.5 inch fingerboard width at the nut, you have plenty of room for chords.
I like it so much I plan to order the blue maple for christmas.
