I own 3 of those. I keep 2 for my ukeleles and gave one to my daughter for tuning her violin. There are really easy to use. There's only 1 button, hold it to turn on/off and use it to toggle between instruments. It has ukelele, guitar, violin, and other modes to select from. The tuner tells you which string number to tune. There is no advanced settings (like changing the frequency of the A note). It keeps it simple, but it does its job well.
I have GCEA ukeleles with high and low G. I have no problem tuning any string with it. I used to use a cool little app on my expensive smart phone, but found that the phone had the hardest time with the high pitch notes, and the 60Hz humming of the AC in the summer would always interfere. This little tuner has no problem. It picks up only the sound in the range of the instrument and gets you in tune.
I took 1 star off because the lid of the battery compartment is very loose on some of the tuners and can easily come off. We fixed that with a small piece of tape.
This is a great product for the price. It's not quite as accurate or user friendly as the rechargeable tuner but still works well.
Simple and easy to use. Compated against other tuners and it was the easiest to make small tuning adjustments with.
