Excellent Bass

What’s not to like about this ubass? It looks great and plays like a dream. I had Kala put the flatwound stings on and set it up. Settings are perfect. Fast neck, no fret buzz, very easy to play. The sound is full when plugged in and responds well to several pedals. Unplugged it is very quiet. I highly recommend both the Zebrawood ubass and the flatwound strings.

Fun to play and sounds great

I’ve been thinking about buying a u-bass for quite awhile and finally decided to do it. Great decision! Lots out there to choose from but this Zebrawood was a good balance of value and character in the wood. Plugged in and playing through an amp I just shake my head in disbelief that this little thing is producing that kind of sound. Love it!

Amazing tone

I was amazed with the sound and craftsmanship of this u bass, arrived in 3 days and I can’t put it down. No fret buzz and I’m just overall impressed with the tone I can get out of it. Even when playing unconventional tunes this u bass can cut through. Now I just need some metal wound wound stings

Sounds great, fun to play

I love this bass, it is amazing and I play it all the time. I do wish that the bridge was a bit higher though, there is a rattle on the E and the A strings from the 7th to the 20th fret that can only be avoided by playing very softly. If I had known about this (by playing in a store) I would have gone for the fretless.

I love the portability. I love the unique tone and feel. Getting used to controlling my left hand when fretting those A and E strings. I love playing chords and arpeggios and they sound nice and warm on this instrument. I'd recommend this to any bass player.
