The Kala Contour Deluxe builds on the elegance and success of the original Contour series lineup with even more aesthetic and tonal enhancements, which bring together classic and modern ukulele style philosophies. The reimagined slotted headstock design and contoured comfort edge return in these models, and new features include a beautiful abalone binding on the front and back of the instrument.
These new iterations of the Contour line also use a lattice bracing on the top of the instrument, which allows for a thinner sound board, and increases volume and overall dynamics. Sonic improvements continue with an additional soundport on the side, which grants great tonal response for the player’s ears.

I absolutely love my uke! I am new to the baritone and an enjoying the challenge of learning it. This instrument sounds lovely, which is good as it wasn’t cheap. But worth paying up for, IMO.

I bought this Kala Baritone to replace an Islander by Kanile’a which has a mango body but the 4th and 3rd strings always seemed mushy. I have a Kala 8 string baritone that I love and this new Kala baritone is bright, pretty and an excellent baritone. It is my go to ukulele. Thank you Kala, and the service ain’t too shabby!😁

This is my third baritone ukulele. I own a Kala 8 string that is a wonderful ukulele both in looks and sound. I own an Islander by Kanilea in mango but my favorite is the Contour because of it’s beauty and the full sound of the D and G strings. Unlike others, the fourth and third strings are not mushy but full sound and I must be careful not to overplay those two strings.

Beautiful sound, and beautiful instrument. Innovative design with the additional sound port. The contoured lower bout is extremely comfortable. Customer service department is outstanding in terms of answering questions and resolving issues.
