I purchased my Kala Solid Body Electric Tenor Ukulele four months ago and I love it! It is a beautiful instrument, pleasing to the eye, sounds great unplugged and clean and pure amplified. The quality for the price is amazing and I was quite surprised that it was available at a very reasonable price. I play this ukulele almost every day, wait, no - I do play it EVERY day, it is so easy to pick up and play for an hour or more. I'm putting together a ukulele jam session book for our local group, Ukulele Players of the Palouse (UPOP) and started the project around the time I purchased this instrument. I have used it to try out songs for the book, as I make edits, I play the new versions to make sure they are as good as they can be. So this ukulele and I have become very good friends in the short time we have been together. And....the local music store where I bought this solid body marvel did not have a gig bag for it but had it priced the same as online, $299. I decided that I couldn't let this instrument go for that reason and got it anyway. Actually, I played it for about 30 minutes in the store and knew that it was meant for me. About a week later, I called Kala Customer Service, explained that I didn't get a gig bag with my purchase and the representative arranged to send me one at no charge. This solid body electric is one great sounding instrument. The clean tone I get when I put it through my MiniLoudbox amplifier is really nice. And no feedback, as promised!
