Impressive baritone ukulele. Sounds, and plays, better than many at higher price points. Most notable is the lack of G-string ‘boomy-ness’ that many bari’s have. Strings here are well balanced, more guitar like.
The truss rod was a welcome addition and helped in fine tuning the usual factory setup. Fret dressing will also help. You can’t beat the benefit of a good setup. And this ukulele would definitely be worth it. Good job Kala.

I spent days on Chat GPT researching what baritone uke would be good for me, especially given I suffer from a medical conditional called "hyperacusis" (sensitivity to loud sounds, especially. higher frequency sounds). This mahogany instrument is perfect for me. It is a beautiful high value instrument made with high end components for its price (solid mahogany body, ebony fret boar, mahogany neck, trus rod). I am enjoying the rounded corners and hope the new Kala Waterfall series remains as part of their permanent series of ukes.
