Kala Ambassador

Rachel Hardy is a Canadian vocalist, composer and YouTuber. Her interest in music began at a young age, but her desire to do music for a living didn’t come to fruition until late high school. In 2013, Rachel started a YouTube channel for fun, since she enjoyed singing and wanted to document her progress for friends and family. Since then, Rachel's channel has garnered over 100,000 subscribers.

Rachel found her passion for composing in high school, and decided to pursue composition for media as a career. She now holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music (BAMus) as well as a professional certificate in composing for film and television from Berklee College of Music (online). Rachel has had many awesome opportunities, such as attending the Hollywood Music Workshop in Baden, interning at Henry Jackman’s Sacred Tiger Music in Los Angeles, and being named one of the runners up in the 2020 Westworld Scoring Competition.

In her free time, Rachel enjoys making covers and original songs, hanging out with her cat, and watering her plants.

Play your ukulele every day, even if only for a few minutes. The more you familiarize yourself with the feeling of different strumming patterns and moving between chords the better!
