This tenor uke projects well. Good tone and electronics function as expected. I am still trying to find the BLEM, so thank you Kala for this nicely priced instrument. I have 4 ukes, including another Kala, all except this one are low G. While I may change it out, right now it is nice to have one high G to play when needed.

This uke is terrific quality for the price. Full disclosure, I have not plugged it in yet, but the fact that it has any pickup with electronics is a major win IMO, considering this is a decent price for a fully acoustic ukulele of this quality, and the tuner works great ;) I've always played concert and soprano ukulele's, but as I'm really a guitarist, this tenor size is so much more comfortable and I love the fuller bodied sound it has. I'm not an aesthetic person but I love the look, too. The cutaway is really helpful on a ukulele for access to those top frets which actually get used pretty often. Win all around! Very happy with this.

I don't care if it's a blem!
The blem is a micro nick on back of the headstock which doesn't affect the tone or playability one iota. And what pretty tone this piece possesses!
Plugged or unplugged, Kala is a winner!
