Playability for a small hand!

I fell in love with Kala Baritone Ukes when I discovered my fingers were not flexible and long enough to master a six string acoustic guitar.

Playability is my main concern in purchasing a new Uke.

In MHO, this particular uke, the Travel baritone, is the easiest to play of all Kala’s selections.

For a small Baritone it has a great sound, and projects much better than one might guess by looking at it. Much to my surprise, I could play it right out of the box. No set up was necessary. (That may just have been luck. )

This is a wonderful uke to take on a trip because it is so compact and light, but it’s a great uke under any circumstance, especially if your anatomy prohibits mastering a guitar. The nut width ( as with most other Kala Baritones) is 1. 5, so if your palm is ample, but your fingers short, you can play it.

Hope this helps. Happy playing

Smaller body, big sound

Very comfortable to play, amazed at how well it sounds in tone and volume.

Amazing sound from a thin body "travel uke"

As I have gotten older, my ears seem increasingly attuned to the sound of a baritone uke. I now own three Kala baritones, each with its own unique voice. I wanted a baritone which I can comfortably travel with, slightly smaller and lighter but with enough projection and asweet enough tone that I would love to play it as much as I do my 'home' ukes. I was disappointed when these were sold out and unavailable for months. I even searched for one on Reverb and was unsuccessful. These seem to be popular

Finally, Kala came through and let me know one had come back in stock. I ordered it and it was shipped directly. To my delight, the sound of it is truly satisfying, as much as my other ukes. It has a sweet tone and surprising sustain and depth--not what I expected in a "travel" uke. The strings have taken a while to settle down, but now it is the instrument I pick up the most to practice and play for fun. It really sounds good, with a sweet, mellower voice than my other baritones. I could not be more satisfied.

While I'd love to get my hands on a Revolator (and my yet, someday, down the road), I am delighted with, this--my first spruce top Baritone--which is a welcome addition to my growing collection of quality Kala ukuleles.
