MY Tenor Uke
I have enjoyed my new Uke with each time that I play on it with the group of Uke players on Wednesday evening called STRUM, in the Seattle area
Native to the tropics of Java, Trembesi is a sought-after wood with beautiful natural figuring and a relatively high density, making it an ideal selection for luthiers looking to pair visual allure with overall projection and sustain. With a notable clarity and mid-range presence, our All Solid Trembesi Metropolitan™ Ukulele is a great choice for players who value dynamics and changing up playstyles.
Our Kala Metropolitan™ Series was designed for players in need of an instrument that can match their trajectory and growth as an ukulele player — soloists, songwriters, and burgeoning performers will feel right at home with these distinct and feature-rich solid wood models. Every Kala Metropolitan™ Ukulele is all solid wood, handcrafted in Java, and includes a custom Kala Metropolitan™ Ukulele Gig Bag.

The appearance is beautiful, the instrument is easy to play, and it sounds great. I would have rated this ukulele 5 stars if Kala had been more attentive to quality control. The frets on the board portion that is attached to the body were sharp and unfinished on both ends. It was impossible to strum without snagging the sharp fret ends. Fortunately, I have a small jewelry drill with very fine sandpaper drums. After removing the strings, the job took time and precision sanding, but I was able to remove the extra lengths without damaging the trembesi or the sound board. Thus, 4 stars.
Purchased after Christmas they ran an incredible sale. It was a great buy on a uke I otherwise would have hesitated to buy. Glad I jumped on the sale, looks beautiful and has a great sound and sustain. Play it daily.
Was skeptical about Trebesi but took a chance with the awesome clearance deal! This is a great uke, a value at full price, feal like I stole it at 61% off. Thank you so much, I bought it for my kid, and they won’t let me keep it. I would take another if you get one back in stock.
