This is supposed to be a Blem but I cannot find any defect. It has an excellent finish and very nice Acacia wood with lots of flame movement in the figure. The posted pictures below don't do it justice. All the components are top shelf and give the Baritone exceptional sustain and tone. I love it's sturdy substantial feel when I play it and it's 1.5 inch nut width make it an easy Uke to play and fret. I find it in my hands every night for a couple of hours. I am in love with it!!!! If you are in the market for a Baritone it would be hard to find one any better even at three times the price.

I bought a blemished model to save money. It plays beautifully and you can’t see any noticeable defects. There was a small hole on the back of the headstock. I put the inspected sticker over it. It appears there was some dust in the finish but it’s so minor it doesn’t matter. This baritone has a beautiful mellow tone. I’m so happy with it. I would buy another blemished ukulele. Solid acacia is the best.

What a beautiful instrument! Absolutely stunning.
A little heavier than my other Kala baritone, but the sustain is like forever. I don't know what the blem is but I did have to file a few of the fret ends & get it hydrated with my bona humidity pack.
Plays & sounds like a dream now.
Hopefully Kala will make a Transit bag it will fit in soon.

A gorgeous instrument with a surprisingly flawless instrument for a "blem" and the tone is outstanding. The comfort of the beveled armrest is outstanding, and the slightly curved back lends to the focused and rich tone. I will say that the fret dressing leaves something to be desired (as in, I wish the frets had been dressed), but I suppose the trade for the discount and a little of my own manual labor is in this case acceptable. Be prepared to have that addressed if you're not so inclined, and I do wish Kala instruments were more consistent, as in my collection some have been phenomenal and others have been, well, really bad. This is one, to be honest, that should have been phenomenal at the pricepoint and considering the otherwise incredible fit and finish. But overall, I'm really pleased and enjoy it tremendously.

This is a beautiful instrument. Though it was listed as a blemished I could only find one small nick in the back of the tuners. It had a QC sticker next to it so I assume that’s it. Otherwise this is perfect in looks and tone. Gorgeous sound quality. I love playing as it feels great especially with the contour.
